The aim of the interdisciplinary course "Medical Instrumentation and Computer Aided Surgery" is to demonstrate the technical fundamentals of medical instruments and systems in clinical use and research, as well as the relations between different clinical fields and current research directions. The course is taught by a team of distinguished lecturers with technical and medical expertise, as well as industrial partners.

The course covers the following topics:
- Medical Devices for Surgical Techniques
- Clinical and Surgical Robotics
- Navigated Surgery
- Medical Data Science
- Training, Simulation and Additive Manufacturing in Surgery

In addition, students will learn background information about clinical developments, cutting-edge research projects and might even meet their future employer. For industrial partners, the presentation of actual developments could be the basis of future cooperative research projects together with students and clinical partners.
