Research Focus
The group of Dr. Birgit Luber carries out research and teaching in the fields of Molecular and Translational Medicine and concentrates on signal transduction in cancer cells.
The aim of our research is to unravel on one side the molecular mechanisms underlying the development and progression of tumors and to define on the other side therapeutic target structures. In the field of personalized medicine, we work on the definition of biomarkers with relevance for response prediction. The major research focus of the group is the EGFR and HER2 signaling network.
We work across disciplines together with Pathologists, Oncologists, Mathematicians and Natural Scientists of other fields.
