The Institute of Pathology at the Technische Universität München

Our research interests include the development of novel technologies for DNA, RNA, and protein based molecular pathology using formalin-fixed and frozen tissue-based techniques and the identification of disease markers. We focus specifically on developing molecular diagnostic tools for use in tumour diagnosis and chemotherapy response prediction tailored to the individual patient.

Through our close association with the Institute of Pathology of the Helmholtzzentrum München we are able to undertake research across the spectrum from pure basic research through to applied clinical studies.
